Text Neck is becoming a problem for all of us- children, teens and adults. Text neck is the term for prolonged head tilt on the cervical spine.
Things to consider:
Tilting your head forward 15 degrees from neutral adds 27 pounds of stress on the cervical spine and muscles. This can lead to the degeneration of the cervical discs and spine and can lead to other issues such as: back pain, jaw issues, shoulder and wrist issues.
Do you hold your breathe or change how you breathe when you text? A study showed that this is quite common and only adds to the stress on the muscles and joints.
